Breaking News...

MFE internship salaries up 22%. hmm :))) Sweet!!!Haas NewsWire - November 14, 2005

Looks like almost 50% of this year's class is working in NYC this year, which alleviates my earlier concerns about Berkeley's location (dis)advantage.

just forwarded this to my classmates! jibes with what outside speakers have been saying - e.g. its a good time to be looking for a job on the street

guys, RIGHT NOW there is bull "job" market in London and NYC for derivatives related jobs. if you have previous work experience as a junior trader, or even an operations position on your resume is going to take you very far. what we are witnessing here is just the beginning in derivatives markets. i cannot emphasize enough that the International Swaps Dealers Association (www.ISDA.org) recently published double digit growth percentages for derivative notational amount trading: fx, interest rates, credit default, commodity, etc. there are plenty of jobs, and there will be for the next 10 or so years.
