I just couldnt believe it when I saw the results. I had been keeping a bit mum about my CFA on this blog because I really didnt prepare well for it. But it all worked out great at the end.

More about this in a later post!! plus some tips on CFA prep.

I am not sure how the other schools stackup (I only applied to UCB). This is a question that is best addressed by someone attending the programs or on forums such as wilmott, etc.

As regards to CFA, I maintained a silence on this blog because
A. CFA is not directly related to FinEngg (I am doing this for a basic grounding in Finance knowledge).
B. My preparation was nothing to write about. I left out some Study sessions.

quantjock - congrats. moltorbru - as derman wrote in his article regarding the quant job market, education is becoming more and more significant in the finance field. overall, it's just too hard to predict any individuals likelihood for success. provided you have any "mfe" it simply comes down to applying to a job, and interviewing for the job.

hypothetically, if you had the best credentials, and if your competition had the best credentials there are about 4 other variables we could move on to. furthermore, if all things were equal, timing would be your biggest advantage. it's just too hard to say.
